Success Story:

An amazing story of incredible courage from a tragic beginning. Born without eyes, Hau was dropped at the door of an orphanage in a small village and left to be cared for. She was the only blind child. We first saw her upon visiting the orphanage church complex. Hau was curled up in the corner of a room as the other children sang a song for us. Two weeks or so later, we had seen her in a special Blind School in HCMC. It was started and run by a dedicated man who became blind at a young age. Mr Phuong has Hau and another 20 or so children a home, education, and opportunity to learn new skills. Braille, music, cooking, learning to navigate the streets.. and we saw her blossom. She played music, sang, learned English, went to school outside with minimal assistance.. and always, always smiled that beautiful smile. Now she has graduated high school and is seeking work. Already a success. Already an inspiration.  We are blessed to have shared her journey.
